HONORING DR. KING: A UNIFIED MARCH IN THE MLK PARADE
On January 18, 2025, the Winter Park (FL) Alumni Chapter and the Orlando Alumni Chapter united their respective Kappa Leagues to march together together in the Martin Luther King Jr. Parade in downtown Orlando. This powerful display of unity celebrated the life and legacy of Dr. King while exemplifying the fraternity’s commitment to social justice and service. The march, organized under the leadership of Brother Derrick Walls, Winter Park’s Kappa advisor, and supported by the Orlando Alumni Chapter’s Kappa League advisor, highlighted the strength of collaboration. Brothers from both chapters walked side by side, reinforcing the message that, regardless of chapter affiliation, all Kappa men are united in purpose. The event not only honored Dr. King’s work
but also inspired the young men of the Kappa League to continue his legacy of leadership and service.
