Winter Park (FL) Alumni Chapter and Brother Rory Anderson Recognized at Orange County Public Schools Crystal Awards Ceremony

On Friday, April 4, the Winter Park (FL) Alumni Chapter (WPAC) of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. was honored at the Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) Crystal Awards Ceremony, held at SeaWorld Orlando. This prestigious event recognizes outstanding individuals and organizations who make a significant impact on education through their service and partnership.
Brother Rory Anderson received the Crystal Award for Outstanding Mentor, recognizing his unwavering commitment to guiding and uplifting students through the chapter’s Guide Right program. His passion for mentorship and dedication to service have made a lasting impression on the students and staff of Rolling Hills Elementary School.
In addition to Brother Anderson’s individual recognition, WPAC was also acknowledged as a valued Partner in Education for its impactful Guide Right programming at Rolling Hills Elementary. The program continues to serve as a model for how community partnerships can positively shape the lives of young students in underserved communities.
Representing WPAC at the ceremony were Brother Polemarch Ron Newsome, Brother Rory Anderson, Brother Frank White, and Brother Thaddeus Jones. The brothers proudly accepted the honors and took photos with Principal Charisse Hurdle of Rolling Hills Elementary, celebrating the strong bond and shared mission between the school and the chapter.
