The Winter Park Alumni Chapter of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. brough t lots of holiday cheer to Welbourne families on December 22nd. Fraternity members Booker Wright, Alonzo Gainey, Ron Newsome, Tony Whitney and Clarence Almonor personally delivered beautifully wrapped, Christmas packages for all 58 of Welbourne’s students! The little ones and their families headed into Christmas with early arrivals of bundles of toys and clothing from “St Kappa”! Founded on the campus of Indiana University 110 years ago, Kappa Alpha Psi sponsors programs focusing on achievement, community s ervice and the development of the next generation. The Winter Park Chapter, chartered in 1992, has a long and illustrious record of service to families, communities and schools like the Welbourne Nursery and Kindergarten. Welbourne offers an A+, not-for-profit educational program for children 6- weeks thru four years old – in order that they may start public school with social confidence and academic competence!
