An opportunity  has presented itself for our young men. The National Guide Right Committee has encouraged all chapters to support the inaugural HBCU Hoops Invitational, taking place Saturday, December 6th at the Walt Disney Wide World of Sports.
This event offers more than a day of basketball. It includes full access to the HBCU College Fair, giving our Kappa Leaguers a chance to engage directly with university representatives, explore scholarship opportunities, and experience the excitement of HBCU culture.
Although the group rate of $30 per student has technically expired, we’ve working on an extension allowing our young men to still benefit from this discount.
We’re asking for your support in helping us sponsor this experience for our Kappa Leaguers. For $30, you can send one young man to enjoy a day of hoops and exposure to HBCUs. Our ask is that you support by sponsoring one or more young men to attend.
This is a tremendous opportunity for our young men to bond, have fun, and be inspired by the possibilities that await them at HBCUs across the country.
Thank you in advance for your generosity and for always standing behind our Kappa League efforts.

The Winter Park Alumni Chapter’s Kappa League Awards Dinner will be held Sunday, July 21st, at 6pm at the Wyndham Orlando Resort International Drive and the Keynote speaker is our fraternity brother and ESPN basketball analyst, Chris Broussard. This will be a great event to honor our Kappa League members, including our 4 seniors who will be attending college in the fall; which by the way marks the 4th year in a row that we have 100% college matriculation for our graduating senior class, an accomplishment worthy of celebration and recognition in and of itself. An endeavor such as this takes a lot of work and support from not only the Guide Right Committee who is working diligently to bring this event to fruition, but also from all brothers of the chapter and our community partners. The cost to facilitate such an endeavor is going to be approximately $2,000.
