On the morning of August 12, 2024, the Winter Park (FL) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., was invited by Acting Principal Charisse N. Hurdle of Rolling Hills Elementary School to support students on their first day back. Eager to create a welcoming atmosphere, the brothers greeted families, assisted with breakfast, and helped students find their teachers, setting a positive tone for the school year.
Community service is crucial—it strengthens communities and instills hope, especially in children starting a new academic journey. Acts of kindness, like providing school supplies, show children they are valued. Additionally, positive role models from the fraternity offered inspiration and guidance, demonstrating the success achievable through hard work, integrity, and perseverance.
The chapter looks forward to a continued partnership with Rolling Hills Elementary, committed to enriching students' lives and encouraging them to pursue their dreams.
