On November 23, 2024, the Winter Park (FL) and Orlando Alumni Chapters joined forces once again to host a tailgate for the iconic Florida Classic, a college football rivalry between Bethune-Cookman University and Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University. Held in Orlando, this event served as more than just a pre-game celebration—it was a dynamic social and community engagement effort that brought brothers and the local community together.

During the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.’s Founders’ Day Celebration, the Winter Park (FL) Alumni Chapter (WPAC) made a generous $500 donation to SouthSide Church of Christ in Orlando, Florida. This contribution aligns with the fraternity’s core mission to foster the spiritual, social, intellectual, and moral well-being of its members while encouraging service to the public. More than 50 fraternity brothers gathered at the church to honor the legacy and principles established by the founders of Kappa Alpha Psi. The donation not only reflects the fraternity’s commitment to community engagement but also reinforces the importance of giving back to the communities that support and nurture their efforts.

In partnership with the Winter Park Achievement Foundation, this annual scholarship golf tournament was held at the Eagle Creek Golf Course in Central Florida, drawing over 150 participants from across the region.

In a ceremony filled with reverence, celebration, and divine purpose, Brother Dorian Williams was ordained to the level of Pastor, while Brother Howard Washington and his Silhouette were ordained as Elders. This monumental occasion is a testament to their unwavering dedication to faith, leadership, and service—not only to their congregation at TKC but also to their community and fraternity.

On June 14th, the Winter Park Achievement Foundation proudly awarded five $2,000 scholarships to a group of exceptional students who have demonstrated remarkable academic excellence. The ceremony, held at the Winter Park Community Center, was a heartwarming event attended by the scholarship recipients, their proud parents, and members of the foundation.

On Saturday, August 3rd, the Winter Park (FL) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. partnered with the Metro Orlando National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) and other Divine Nine organizations for a back-to-school supplies giveaway in Eatonville, Florida. The event attracted families eager to equip their children with essential school supplies, with volunteers setting up tables filled with backpacks, notebooks, and more.

Kappa Alpha Psi's commitment to service and community upliftment was evident as members engaged with attendees, sharing encouragement and emphasizing the importance of education. “This event is an opportunity to give back and ensure every child has the tools they need to succeed,” said a representative.

The giveaway not only provided supplies but also strengthened community ties. As the school year approaches, initiatives like this highlight the positive impact of collaboration among local organizations to support the youth of Eatonville.
